I guess there are many reasons. Some people deal better with the
usual things that happen at this time of year. Others find it
depressing. Darker mornings and evenings have set in and it is
about a month and a half until the next rest or break for the
kids. And there is reporting. The weird folk, and that includes
adults as well as the kids, will be coming out of the woodwork
as everyone in the school is past the initial time of their best
behaviour. The Christmas season looms in the not so near future.
It is getting colder and we are indoors more and do not see much
sunshine as it is often dark by the time most people leave work.
And, by the way, if you have had a smart meter installed by your
utility, the two peak periods of 7 a.m to 11 a.m and 5 p.m to 9
p.m have just set in until the end of next April. You will be
paying almost 3x the amount of the old rate to use your
electricity in this time.
